Reflecting on Acts of Kindness brings up an activity near and dear to my heart. Children’s summer camps were a big part of my life from a young age. Part of the reason I started attending was because a local senior paid my registration fee to attend camp. She was such a beautiful soul and supported my Mom in so many ways as she raised her young family. We received a registration form in the mail saying that the fees had been covered by our lovely friend and that we only had to pick which week of camp I wanted to attend. This fall I had an opportunity to support a young lady in my community to attend camp and knew I had to be a part of ensuring she was able to participate in the camp trip. Throughout the past week a local radio station has been featuring children’s camps throughout the province. I’m putting out a challenge to all of our TGD blog readers to Pay it Forward for kids to attend a local camp.  I’m so grateful for the influence the camp community had in my life and how those experiences shaped me.  Let’s be a blessing to other youth and ensure they can participate in these incredible opportunities without any financial barriers.
